It varies a little by lobe size, but it's generally between 1.42-1.43".

Is there a way to measure this?

Yes, you take a digital vernier caliper and run it around the cam lobe. The smallest reading is your base circle.

From JMX site
Now, if you are the curious type, you may want to measure the base circle of your new cam before you install it. If you have a vernier caliper, place it on one of the lobes and compress the caliper with your hand. Spin the cam slowly until you find the lowest number the caliper ever reads. This is approximately your base circle.

OK, without a cam doctor report, any way to get a general idea of what my advertised IVC is on the somewhat popular Comp XFI 224/230 .609/.604 110+2 would be? Right now a spreadsheet tells me around 65*.
