Default LS6 or 5.3 heads

I've got a 2000 camaro with all the bolt-ons, headers, 78mm fast intake, loud mouth, I'm trying to get 415-430 to the wheels, its a 6spd. i'm wondering what advantage/dis-advantage is there to the ls6 heads or 5.3 heads. i'm also wondering what would be a good cam to go with the set up. Choppy idle is ok. i don't really want a real crazy cam. just something that will give me good numbers. i've tried to search but the interenet is slower then hell here and its taking forever. i highly doubt the car will see the track much if at all, its a street car and i want to be able to pick on cobra's and not get my *** kicked. thanks guys

i think the main reason for people going with the 5.3 heads is because of the bump in compression over the ls6 heads.

We currently have the 5.3l & LS6 PRC heads on special. You really can't go wrong with either. I'd look to something like a 228R camshaft, or maybe up to a Torquer 3 if you want something a little bit bigger. We can set the heads up specifically for your desired compression when you order the combo.

If you have any questions please feel free to give us a call, or checkout the dyno section for results from the PRC heads. I think you'll find for the money they're HARD to beat!!

Jason set me up with a set of stage 1 ls6 heads milled to 59cc and I used the MTI G1 cam (228/232 113+4) in my car and made really good power, 440/411, which is the same my buddy made with same un milled heads and MS4 cam and my car is much easier to drive and makes more torque.
