Thumbs up Over heat

I had the valve springs replaced and they disconnected the Battery while they did the install and now when I drive the car it seems to run hotter that it did in the past.

160 Therm and the needle always showed just below the 210 mark on the gauage.

Now it reads just above 210 mark?

What do you think bad Raditor cap, or is there air in the sysyem?

Thanks in advance

Bruce

99's temp gauges only read cold, normal, and overheat. It's not a true gauge like the 98's.
your OK unless its overheating.

Yeah, I agree with theinstag8r. None of the f-body temp gauges are pinpoint accurate. As long as you're not overheating, you're okay. But I would bleed the system if I were you, just for peace of mind.

As far as your fans running, that makes sense. If your temp is reading high, it turns your fans on.

How do I Bleed the system?

Do you think the Radiator cap could be bad?

I noticed when I ran it and shut it down I could open the main radiator cap with the back pressure jusr like the car had been setting overnight?

When the car is up to temp your large coolant hoses should be hard. If they are not then you may have a problem but could be multiple things. to see if you have coolant flowing you can start the car and carefully disconnect the TB bypass line. coolant should flow out of it and that is also how i have bled my systems when i have changed cams.
