Default iron block ls1 with milled 5.3 heads?

just a thought.... on a really stiff budget

get an lm7 for next to nothing

get used ls1 pistons for next to nothing

punch it out to a 5.7

mill the 5.3 heads to get 11.5 compression

get ls6 intake

put a 230/232 cam with a 112 lsa in there

do headers and intake ... basic bolt ons and such

will she make 400 whp on a six speed? i may have to hand port / polish the heads since they need it... are the valves just too small to make it? i figure they cant be much worse than stock ls1 heads and the added bump in compression should help.

i know ive seen ls1s with stock heads and 10:1 compression make 400 wheel....this should do it right?

oh and for all you guys who are going to say screw an lm7 just get a lq4, ive seen complete engines with everything go for 2-400 dollars vs the cheapest i see 6.0s go for being 850-1100 ... thats alot of savings.

will i need the ls1 rods too?
