i paid a little over $600 shipped for ported 243's with comp 918's

Some poeple don't realize that just the LS6 valves are $46 a piece new, lol. If it was a set of LS2s I would balk at anything over $300 for a used set personally. I would keep them and have them ported but keep the stock valves, I plan on doing that myself. Advanced Induction (sponsor) does just such a porting and seems to pick up a nice amount of flow. Oh, and BTW, you don't need a ported head to make power with an LS6. Check out the sig. Good luck,

Damn i can remember when 243 heads where going for $1000 unported.

I agree, most don't realize what those valves are worth, both in dollars and performance. They make for a very light valve train requiring much less spring to control.
