Question Help w/ NA setup in my 2000 SS

Looking for some help on setting up my car. Im only interested in NA and bang for buck build without going cheap on quality. So far I have on my 2000 6spd SS: violant CIA, Magnaflow catback, Strano Sway bars, R1 crossdrilled/slotted rotors, Pro5 shifter. On order Strano lowering springs and Konis all around, UMI torque arm and UMI lower control arms
This is a street car only, just want to have fun with it. Car will never see slicks
What Im looking to add:

ls6 intake
Cam (not sure size)
full exhaust
tune

Dont want to go to deep in my motor now since its only got 10k miles on it.
So let me know how you guys would set it up and what kind of power to expect
thanks

I was looking at SLP's new LT's that are designed for lowered cars and their catted y-pipe. Still up in the air on cam size. I like the lope of a healthy cam but want everything to work well together instead of just getting a crazy big cam that is too big for my setup

you really cant go wrong with an LS6 stock cam and upgraded valve springs. Given your modest power goals, I personally think this cam would be the best compromise between DD streeability, power increase THROUGHOUT the powerband (not just after 3000 like some of the bigger cams), and still retain OEM reliability.

^^ im with him.. im running a tr220 because i got it for a great deal in a package i bought but i would go with a 224 in a heart beat minimum. the 220 makes good power and runs like stock but leaves probably 15-20 horsepower on the table from the 224..... if you want some reliability go with the 220 or 224 on a 112lsa to get that bit of lope.

there are also a couple of guys around here who you could ask help spec or recommend a cam for your specific needs. patrickg is one of them.

the el torro is good one, but anything in the 230* range would be a good choice for what you're looking at. still every street-able and daily drivable.

the "el torro" is...

230/230 .612/.592 LSA 111+2

Ok, this is what I've bought so far: (power wise)

Kooks LT's
Kooks catted y
magnaflow CB
225/230 (rough numbers, Alvin PCM4less is handling)
Voilant CAI
FAST 92mm Intake with Nick Williams 92mm Throttle Body

What kind of power should this setup making ? Im not sure how my stock clutch will hold this power. Also on fence on if I should bite the bullet and by heads too.

I appreciate everyones input so far...thx
