I want to build a 383 I know that this forum is mainly for lsX series. I've been a helping hand on my friend's f-body for some time now and I'm building a mud truck now. I've searched other forums more 4x4 related but it seems the best techs and knowledge are here so hopfully y'all will be willing to help.
I want to build a 383 for my truck, More torque than HP since I'll probably never take it over 55 mph. What I'm asking is, What Specs on HEADS/CAM would everyone recommend to achieve this. I want a slightly aggressive cam but not too bad since it will be carburated, I don't want to have to fight with a inconsistant idle.
Now like every other newb will ask, throw me a low and a high quote. I don't mind spending the money necessary to make it right, I just need to know how much money I have to rat hole from the wife.
