Default Help with removing crank pulley

I loosened the crank bolt, took it out some, then I put the 3 arm tool on and went to work. I got to about the last 1/2 of the tool when all of a sudden, with each turn I did, the car jolted forward a bit! I don't know what to do. I tried prying the pulley off but it won't budge. ???

Not sure which pulley you're using but on the ASP, I ground off the shoulder of the bolt on the bench grinder so the pulley(hole)would clear it. Others have used longer threaded rod. Either way works........
