Default Lifter install

My freind just finished throwing his LS1 back together he hasnt fired it up yet, Im currently tearing an LS1 down myself, upon pulling my lifters i noticed the oil passage and oiling holes on the lifter face each other, No brainer to put them back the same way.. Now only issue is i asked my freind if he put his back the same way.. he didnt notice there was only one oil pick up hole on a lifter, he very well could have put one or more trays in 180 out, he wont be a stickler on adnormal cam wear etc, but main question at hand is will lifters pick up oil if the oiling hole isnt facing the oil passage?? His motor is back in awaiting to be filled fluids etc to fire.. this could be depressing..

I prefer toward galleys but it doesn't matter. I've torn motors where some were like that and some 180 out.

If I remember correctly, the stock lifters oil hole faces either front or back so it doesn't matter. The Morels are 90 degrees different so I faced them to the oil passage.
