I am measuring deck height on a 383 that will go in my vette. It measures TDC within approximately .002 on corner cylinders; but all four are .008-.010 down. Should I deck the block the corresponding amount to make all pistons proud of the bore .005? Thanks in advance

I decided to finish deck the block cyl #1-7, from .013- .015 and cyl #2-8, from .012-.013That will allow the pistons to TDC .005 above the deck. With a Cometic .040- 3.910 bore head gasket, quench should be about .035.
