What timing chain?
I used offset cam bushings for my LT1 to get my cam where I wanted. You have to drill out the timing gear and press in the correct bushing. I'm going to try this with my LS2 set when I put my cam in my LS1 car.

There are a bunch of ways you can go. First, not all JWIS chains are the same nor is a double necessarily better than a good single. The mere fact that a chain is made by JWIS doesn't mean anything because they make several chains of varying quality/strength in the correct pitch for the LS1 application. The C5R chain is a JWIS top of the line chain and is also used in the BMW M5 (different length). Other JWIS chains being advertised for less money are a lower quality chain so buyer beware.
JP Performance owns Rollmaster. JP doesn't harden their cam sprocket. JP uses a Rolon chain. The N-Motion timing sets sold by SDPC is a re-badged JP Performance set.
The GM LS2 chain is a Renold chain, made in England. The Cloyes 3153-AL is the top of the line in single chains. This chain is also a Renold chain and as mentioned is blue printed, shot peened and hand assembled. This is the chain that solved the timing chain issue in the Olds Aurora motor in the Indy Racing League several years ago.
In the end, it depends on what you want to spend on the setup to try and minimize any potential for failure. One of the best things you can do is add a timing chain damper, but they are no longer made or sold by GMPP.

the rollmaster double roller is what i have and i love it you have to shim the pump and with the meiling high volume pump you actually have to grind some material off the front of the pump but its not that much work and i've seen LMR use the exact same timing set on cars making over 1000rwhp and they come advanced or retarted just tell them when you order it and the timing set comes ready to bolt on with the cam timing advance or retard built in. i think mine was around 125$.

Verdad Gallardo Not sure which setup you have, but be careful of mixing the LS2 chain with other manufacturers sprockets. Also, just for info, Cloyes makes the OEM parts for GM (except the chain which is Renold).
I have the complete rollmaster double roller setup that is adjustable + or - 6*. Have you heard of any issues with these since you seem to know alot about the ls timing chains.
so from reading all this, a top of the line Iwis single roller chain and the top of the line Rollmaster sprockets would be the best single roller setup out there? so where can you get this from without haveing to buy a rollmaster timing set or other crap?
