I noticed the comp 850-16 replacement lifters are the 'newer' style with the exposed roller. I remember reading that these are noisier the the originals in 00 and down cars even though I dont know how true that is. Since I am putting my car back stock I dont want to make it maing a ton of noise, my original 16,000 mile lifters looked pretty bad, the wheels on 6 of them had some nasty worn spots on them so I figured I would just replace them. Funny thing is the cam looks perfect, so did the cam before it and so does the stock cam...

Phil....do happen to know how much piston/plunger travel your Comp R's have? I thought they were suppose to only have a limited amount. But mine have moocho travel like the stockers. And by the way how are you getting along with the rockers? Mine are running but I'm working on some other stuff on the car right now so I only have about 80 miles on them.
