Stroker setup?
Will a 4.0 crank fit in you stock ls1 5.7 block with machine work, or what size crank would you use to build a 383, that will work in your stock block with of course some honeing and boring.
Is there more life in the motor useing a iron block with a 4.0 stroker setup, or is it the same with your stock alum block? No FI, and No Spray.. NA motor
Thanks

Yes, a 4 inch crank is what you would use to make a 383 in a ls1 block, and unless your spinning super high rpm's theres not much advantage using an iron block over aluminum other than the iron block having a bigger bore=more cubic inches.
For the price of a well built 383, you could almost have a 402/8.
I have read that at realy high rpm's the stock ls1 sleeves can become out of round, read it straight off gmhtp from the owners of the six speeds inc car who run around 10,000rpm. I know this guy prob wont do that but im saying it.

Thars some serious rpms
