Default Is 380 through cats good for a hotcam?

SLPs and cats, with a pretty flat torque curve (peak of about 370-375) Good for a hotcam i think, but weve done many other cams that will walk this one

Those numbers are nothing to sneeze at. Sure there are bigger numbers and cams, but 380rwhp and 375rwtq are very respectable numbers.

Besides the hot cam package is a killer deal from GM, not to mention the hot cam/GM reliability.

Good numbers, reliability, and inexpensive...you did good.

So how much power from the cam alone/ LT's alone? I was just wondering how much power you really got from each of them.

That's definately nothing to turn your nose up at...That cam makes a very nice TQ curve.

FWIW, just because there is other cams that will "walk" it on the dyno doesn't really mean anything. It's area under the curve that matters. If you have cam B that makes 400 rwhp through cats, but less power throughout the entire rpm range, the 380 Hotcam car is going to win the race.

Know a guy that dyno'd 410 with no cats and the hot cam with SLP LT's.

Looks like the cats are worth about 30 hp in that setup.
