Should I replace my oil pump?
I have a 2000 Camaro Z28 with around 105000 miles on it. I am going to be doing a water pump swap soon (fuel pump soon too - not related
).
Anyway, is it a good idea to replace the oil pump along with the water pump?
I have replaced a water pump before but never an oil pump... I have read the guide and have no idea if it is something I should attempt or not.. Although the amount of labor a shop will charge is probably insane...
Anyways thanks for any help you can offer...
---------------
Oil pressure is fine now in my opinion. From cold start usually around 50 and up to 60 or a lil over at mid rpm.
Although it is summer time now and I have noticed a little drop in pressure as I get off the interstate. It dropped to about 30 today at the off ramp red light.
^ could have been because AC was on tho. That seems to drop it a little.
((Also I am using mobile 1 syn 10-40...))

Personally I would leave the oil pump alone if all you are doing is a water pump. The oil pump is somewhat of a PIA to do and you aren't saving THAT much time by having the water pump off already.
