Default tapping noise

i dunno wtf is going on. I was driving down the highway yesterday. and was getting kinda ancy so. I hit the spray on a 3rd gear pull. Well I get to my destination and i hear a tapping from my driver side vavle cover i'd say about half way back. I have sprayed numorous times at the track and just for fun with no problems.

I have a basically stock motor. (exhaust and lid) And a 125 shot wet.

Any oppinions?

Could be a bent pushrod. Pull them out and check them on a flat surface.

i've never heard of a bent pushrod from anything other then a missed down shift or mechanical over rev?

i'd still check them though, its only a few hours of your time.

remove coil packs
pull valve covers
remove rocker bolts
take off rockers
remove pushrods
check on flat surface
say "godd dammit its bent" or "ya, its not bent but dammit that means something else is wrong"

Sounds like a lifter is stuck/collapsed, smacking the cam lobe.

It can be much worse than that. Can be something simple. Somebody just had plug threads gone bad and it tapped. But, since you sprayed it may as well be a cracked piston skirt. Just hope it's something simple and start ruling things out.
