Need help!!! Fresh motor running funny
Hey guys, so i just recently had my 00 LS1 rebuilt with 347 pistons and rods. I wanted to save some money and put it back together myself. So after a few days of work we start it up and everything goes great. I go to take it for a test drive and it hesitates a bit but only under 2k rpm. The car is on a tsp mail order tune and has a 238/240 .605/.609 on a 112 lsa. It's not bringing up any codes for o2's so i was wondering what you guys think the problem is? could the shop have put the cam in wrong or did something wrong while installing my forged bottom end?

How many miles are on it? What kind of oil are you running? Are you breaking in the rings properly?
A new motor needs time to break in and allow the rings to seat. Did they gap the rings or just throw them in?
Alot of info needed but as long as the motor was properly assembled I would say the problem is in the fine tuning that you dont get in a mail order tune.

motor currently has 20 miles on it and the short block was done by a well respected shop in my local area. I've heard that the piston rings need to seat before from a couple people and i've used tsp mail order tunes in the past and they've been very good tunes. Oil is just plain old penzoil 10w-30
