Valvetrain rattling
Valvetrain rattling Has anyone noticed valvetrain rattling after putting royal purple oil in their car? I've put the german castrol 0W30 for years and decided to try royal purple with an engine flush and now it seems that I get rattling from under the driver side valve cover as rpm's get higher. There is no noise heard at idle but the higher the rpm's the louder the noise is. I brought the car to the dealership and they want to charge me 550.00 just to tear down the motor and guess what the problem is. If anyone might know what this could be please let me know. Uh I have 59,000 miles on the clock, 01 camaro SS and no internal engine work. If I need to I'll try to get a video on as well.
