Default ms3 and no stall? possible?

hey guys im just wanting to know if anybody has used a ms3 without a converter? im getting an ms3 and wont to install it and in a few months get a 4000 converter. i know that it will be a pig down low and wont be at its full potential but thats now the question. will it idle and stay on for normal driving usage? thanks

No, you need a stall. I just did a MS3 in mine and havent gotten a stall or tune yet. It's basically undrivable, unless you want it to feel like youre riding a horse.

Thats crap, I drove mine around w/o a stall for MONTHS untuned... Drove perfectly fine, I even took it to the track. It couldnt get out of its own way after the launch... 2.1 60ft and the best it did was a 13.1 at 112mph.

I have a 224 with the stock stall and it pushes on the brakes. It is not bad but its a little cam compared to the MS3, I dont think you can go much higher than 224 228ish on the stock stall. All this reading has me wondering how much I will gain on a ss3600! Stall it on something that big

people go about mods backwards these days. why in the world do you want to put your cam in now? why not wait for the stall? F-bodys need to be modded back to front.

I for one didnt want to spend 700 and have my trans take a ****. I am paranoid about the AUTO, I wish I had a M6 but they have their troubles too. I also never have had a Stalled auto and didnt know what to expect but I am bout to take the plunge! But the OP deff. needs a stall

cant think of his name... blue camaro with big cowl hood.. pro stars... turbo 350 now i believe... custom intake.. he had a build of his car a while back...

i believe he had an ms4 and drove it on the stock stall for quite some time... said it wasnt too awful..
depends on gears and what not also.. and the tune, that can make all the difference in the world..

someone chime in on his name.. i think he is buddies with chris1313

The A-4 will hold up to more than you think. I ran mine with a 3500 converter, Nitrous and sticky tires, for 3 years and over a 100 passes at the track... Only rebuilt it cause my buddy did it for a great price. As for the Cam without the Stall. Why would you want to add power without being able to utilize it???? Makes no sense at all. Get the Converter and then do the Cam...
My 2 cents...

If you do the convertor first you will see better times than with cam first.

Stall should be the FIRST mod for an auto.

stall FIRST.....or you gonna be pushing through that stocker so bad (depending on tune) your leg gonna get tired if you end up in traffic and not sticking her in neutral!

and for a broken A4 ??? i run M/T slicks 70k+ miles on this trans.....just do your upkeep on a regular basis and no problems yet
