Default What should I do?

Hello everyone,
I currently have a 99 F body ls1 in my 77 corvette. The car is running great after the conversion. The only real upgrade I have is custom headers/exhaust. I'm finally ready to upgrade the engine. I have been contemplating a few different things and I need some help. I have about 5k to 'invest' into the engine.

Which path should I take:

1. Modify the existing engine with AFR heads, cam, intake, electric water pump, and custom tune and have enough money left over to take my wife on vacation

Or

2. Save up a few thousand more and upgrade the engine to an LS3. If I did this, would the old LS1 belt driven accessories and headers bolt up to an LS3?

Option # 1 for sure. First it will make much more power done right AND you will get the collateral benifit of taking the wife on vacation h

The LS3 has more potential but assuming stock form no. See ^^^^^.

No the acsssory brackets are not the same on LS3 but no biggie.....
