whatever you decide to do..get a freakin warranty..lotta people have bought crate engines, or long/short blocks and have had issues..get a warranty..and get it in writing..a lot of times you can get a bare block that is already machined and then get a deal on a forged rotating assembly..just an idea. if you dont have the tools to get the proper torque specs done..then you could possibly score a sweet deal on a rotating assembly and send the sponsor your block and have it balanced and assembled..just an idea..

I wanna keep it at 7k for the complete engine, not 7k for 600rwhp then ill need tons of extras to even make it run. (distributor, carb, manifold, etc.)

After i dump around 6-7k for a motor i still have to get a new tranny, rear end, gears, etc.

I dont have a problem having a professional build it, that way i know its done right, but dont know whom to get to do it.

Also, how cheap can u have a 530 rwhp engine done by a professional? sign me up

Basically im just looking for either the cheapest route or the easiest route. Easiest is buying the most complete engine/turnkey and just have to drop it in. Then all i have to do is get a new tranny and rear end and ill be set.

reliable and fast obviously. all i meant by cheap was if i could build the exact same fast crate engine, myself for a couple thousand cheaper.

anything fast and reliable is gonna be costly, especially it being fast enough to hang with 2010 camaro and corvette

I found a LS1 from a 04 GTO, rated at 350hp for only $2000. 24k miles, needs an intake and oil pan.

What if i got this, should not be hard to get to around 500 rwhp with head/cam package and good intake? ported TB?

Precison Race Components Stg 2.5 LS6 Heads & Cam is 1700
and a vengance racing ported fast 92/92 combo is around 1500 that would prolly put you around 500ish
