Default research for my 408 stroker FI build

ok im not sure if this is the right section but here goes.
i got the "while i'm in there bug" started out just strapping a p1sc on my stock 83k mile ls1. but thought that adding a hi volume oil pump might be good, and im sending my tranny away to be build so i decided to pull both, then decided if im pulling the engine might as well throw some low CR pistons to run a little more boost, then figured if pistons are out why not do rods too, then thought well if im doing all that why "F" with a little 346, so now the plan is iron 408, with D1 at whatever it can flow.
now for the questions, i have a great set of PRC 5.3 2.5 heads. are these worthless to me now because there were shaved and have a small bore. should i sell these and get a larger bore head.
second, what dish do i need to get my SCR to around low 9's
i thought i was somewhat knowledgeable about lsx engines, i mean i have done 4-5 head swaps, 8-9 cam swaps, dropped my oilpan (that sucked, always use dowels when doing cam swaps) R&R a few engines. but when it comes to setting an engine up i need help

hey blanco, i read alot of your posts over on "the other ls1 site". you know your stuff! my heads have IIRC 59cc chambers. so i know that's no good. after calling TSP i have decided on a 408 LQ9 long block. so i will get the l92 heads with the stage 3 heads and all the goddies. and the FI may have to wait a little while. because with a 10k budget the engine is draining most of that. then after getting the trans built and a strong clutch im broke again. unless i can get a decent price for the ls1 and my stage 2.5 heads, and save a little bit i might still be able to swing the charger

You would be around 9.3 with a -32cc dish

well i have decided that 10k is not enough to do a FI stroker. so i am going to just get the stroker built for safe strong NA power. some nice heads, intake, cam. from talking to a few people i should be solid 500+ with a nicely built 408, and voila no more problems from the local cobra boys......unless they start serious mods too.. damn it never ends
