Default Would this cam fit?

Right now i'm running a Ms4 cam= 239/242 .649/.609 @ 111.5 lsa

I would like to know if a 224/234 .594/.598 @ 115 or 116 would clear? I dont know much at all about cams and have done some reading but would just like to know for sure if going to the wider lsa would still be ok, or if it would be worse than the Ms4 ptv clearance wise?

Thanks,
Devon

everything about that cam is smaller so you would have more clearance. just has less overlap, but that cam clears easily on stock motors

I have a built 370ci that I was going to spray but I got a good deal on a Procharger so I put that on the car and need a "blower cam" of some sort. Those are just some specs that I came up with.

I thought that a bigger lsa 115>112 gave less piston to valve clearance, is that not right?

If the MS4 fit, then the other cam should be no problem to fit.

Ok thanks guys. Yes the Ms4 fits and has been fine I just figured if I'm going to keep/finish the car I'll change to a better cam for the charger.

technically yes that is correct because the valves will have less over lap and be open over a broader range. but that size duration and lift cam has long been proven to be a non issue with stock short block components. And if you have a 370 then you should have reliefed pistons so you should have all kinds of room.

Also consider the fact that you are dropping 15/12 degrees of duration and adding around 5 degrees LSA, so really you are just trading off and I am no guru but would suspect you are actually increasing your p/v clearence. Those two figures will cancel each other out to some extent.
