Default Do i need a tune with ported heads?

So i am buying a set of prc stage 2.5 5.3 heads and i will be using them with the stock cam and i do plan on geting the car dyno tuned but my tunner is backed up so it will be a few weeks before i can get it tuned will it be ok to drive the car into then i have had it tuned before with full bolt ons 02 ta a4 thanks for the help.

more air + same amount of fuel = lean........boom!

yes you need a tune but if your gonna drive it (i wouldnt) keep it under like 4k

It all depends on how much money you are willing to spend. $300 to $400 for a good custom tune or $3 to $4K for an engine.

Ok that is what i needed to hear i will wait to drive it after the head install, it will be ok to drive to get it tuned right?
