Well your probably going to have a hard time with the sleeper thing but power adder makes it easier to go 10's I think you should go some big over 600 lift cam a really good set of head 92/92 ported and think about a bottom end 4k stall 9 in suspension and try to take out some wieght with 373 or 390's no trans brake with 4l60 to weak and unrealiable just foot braking leave on the button and have fun

You forgot the lifters. If you are going to a better head and a cam that is more than a 575 lift, and your going to be reeving anywhere near 6.5K RPM then you WILL need lifters. The stock lifters are not that great on the early LS1 based engines.

Prolly want to run 2 sets of injectors that way you dont go lean and hurt something...

May even want to add oxyclean to the oil...

Bad advice.

Only add a second set of injectors if you are running the Wiend Street Warrior intake.

The Oxyclean goes in the FUEL not oil.

Purple Power is what goes in the OIL.

The BS advice you read on here sometimes..........

Are you talking about 2 different size injectors? Cuz if you are that would be dumb if you use the other injectors you have to change the injector size in the tune he does need that he's fine running a wet kit... If he was running a 150 dry the maf you take care of it as long as he has bug enough injectors

Dude... you never run the same size injectors... Do you want a car that runs right and is eazy to tune?

And How can you spray something dry? Wont it get wet? Im not sure you have been around nitrous much....

Bug injectors? they must be the 9374737470892 pounders that are shaped like caterpillars...

Kid... If any of the following apply to you STFU and dont hand out advice.
A) You dont hit 11's in a H/C car
B) You cant get sarcasm that involves a laundry detergent
C) You clothes get laid out on your bed in the morning by someone other than yourself
D) Your report card didnt have any F's so its on the fridge
E) You hang out with 2v's so your still "fast"
F) You think you need " two of the big ones harry" to spray a big shot
G) Tsp knows your mom because she had a lot of trouble ordering your H/C package for your birthday
H) Your an idiot
I) You ever considered a wing that wasnt attached to an airplane
J) You sat here and read this far
K) IF I GET TO LETTER K IN A SPEECH ABOUT YOU
J) If your face has ever appeared in a FAIL pic

LOL

My 5.3's seem to work pretty well.

You seem like you've been drinking the Tech Kool-Aid a little too much. There are alot cheaper/easier ways to run 10's without getting crazy and running some donkey dick cam and a $2000 set of heads.

OP--Best advice I can give you is this. Buy a set of head studs and throw the 5.3's on there. It will get old buying a new set of head bolts every time you want to yank a head, or do another swap. Also, since you plan to spray later on, these are cheap insurance. Shops are doing crazy stuff with 224 style cams these days that will maintain drivability, yet put out almost the same numbers as the monster cams.
The thing that will yield the biggest #'s in ET will be a torque convertor.

The biggest thing you will find out is that there are always hidden costs whenever you start to dig into the motor. You do a cam, you'll need springs, gaskets, etc. You do a torque convertor, you'll need an upgraded tranny cooler. It's really never ending. Just make sure you're having fun with it.

fwiw, a bone stock WS6 and i put just home ported 5.3L heads with LS1 intake, ls6 valves and a 218/224 .551 cam & tune netted 350/350 @ rear wheels and a flat power curve.

Hitman reread this post^^^^ because it's right on the money.

No set of stock heads save for LS6's is going to net you a significant power gain. IMO you should run the 806's until you feel their a bottleneck. I've seen a stock `98 WS6 run 11.80's with just a stall cutout and a 125 shot and that was back in `99.
