Question a little help please.....

Ok so I did some searching and found some good info but it is still a bit confusing to me. Can someone give me a good explaination on timing chains and oil pumps. I am starting preventive maintainance on my daily driver (98 T/A with 125k on the clock) and will be replacing a lot of stuff. The only thing that I am unclear of is all the varieties of timing sets and oil pumps out there and all the talk about different covers and grinding etc. Any help would be awesome thanks!

If you're just swapping out the stocker and not doing any serious HiPerf mods an LS2 timing chain and a new stock oil pump should suffice.

The only performance mod I have planned during this is a LS6 intake other than that I am just swapping out old stuff for new stuff.

Appreciate the info! Anybody agree or disagree, have any other opinions for me?
