ticking noise
ticking noise my 2000 z has developed a ticking it is definatly a top end noise i put the thunder racing raptor cam in about 3k miles ago on stock lifters sim thinking that might be my issuse im pulling it apart tommorrow to start looking for this tick my question is what lifters should i go with the cam specs are 238/242 .615/.615 111+2lsa and it has factory length hardened push rods give me some thoughts thanks
id say your lifters are going flat does the ticking go away once its been running for awhile. if not that then maybe your rockers are just loose. ever since i put the cam in mine it ticks as well but its really quiet and can only be heard with your head in the engine compartment so im not really worried about it
Pull the valve covers off and check your rockers first. Did you use loctite when you reinstalled them? How many miles on lifters?
Check for puked needle bearings from the rockers too....

just pulled it apart turns out my rocker arm bearing blew out and that is what all the noise was about my questin is what roker arms should i get i have the TR raptor cam 238/242 .615/.615 111+2 can i go with 1.8 rollers?
