Has anyone ever broke one, on the tip? Well I did and Im like WTF???

i beleive its because of the way they are shaped...they get really skinnyright befor the spring i saw something on this a bit back...

Completely stock valvetrain? If you have changed anything, what are the specifics on your valvetrain parts?

Hey Jon, I did 243's, MS3, comp hardend PR's, LS7 lifters, and Patriot dual golds. I think that the rockers are just too old and have too many miles for those springs. That is the only part of my H/C swap that I didnt change.

Will you post pics of the broken pieces? I'd like to see both ends of the break as well as the face of the lifter foot (the part that touches the valve).

There wasn't any grinding done on the the rocker to clear spring/retainer was there? That would be the Kiss Of Death.

Personally I don't think the rockers will break in your application from fatigue (due to too many miles total on them). Looking at the failed parts should help.

Wow how many miles my set up is just about the same, the cam just a bit smaller but 80K on my rockers and the guy who put it together while my last deployment told me they where going to be ok
