royal purp 10w-30. just changed from mobil 1. couldnt really tell a diff. however my oil pump did just give up the ghost. so we'll see how the purp performs when i get the car back with the melling pump and the 224r cam.
I just got thru changing the oil in my bird. Mobil One Synthetic 5W-30 with a PF46 AC-Delco Filter. Usually about once a year is more than sufficient for the limited number of miles I get to put on it.
For those of you that said you run 10W-30 for the summer and 5W-30 for the winter, are you driving your cars year round? Or is there some other reason to switch to a lighter weight in the winter? If your car is simply stored, I see no reason for the switch. OR maybe I am missing something here?

Last time I checked out bobistheoilguy, it seemed that Walmart's brand "Supertech" of fully synthetic was pretty good. I've got it in both lawnmowers, three cars, my compressor, I use it as slide oil on my pistols, and it's a pretty good mixer with brown liquors.

idk what it is about lucas, but its just one of those companies i trust. i think its because they arent all flashy and over the top in their advertising. they just tell u what their product is for/what it will protect against etc etc. and the fact that have been doing the same thing forever and they are still around and still doing it the same way.

Royal Purple 5W30 in my motor, RP syntech in the trans, RP Max in the rearend.....I like the oil but I'd like to run a little thicker oil in it since it's got 109,000 miles on it, but I have 1 1/2 cases left from last year so I guess I'll use that up first.
