Default quick question

I have a part broke on my 98 ls1 and do not know what it is. It is located behind the intake manifold. Is this the oil sending unit? I heard it was under the manifold this is right behind the manifold. Has oil leaking from it

If it stick up from behind the intake and has a connector that plugs in from the top then yes, it's the oil sending unit. When you buy one be sure to get one for a '98. '99 and newer have a different type of wire connector that plugs in.
