5.3 head swap

i got a 03 ls1 i did a swap with and just got a 5.3 and heard if you put the 5.3 heads on the ls1 it will help with performance? i use the car for drag racing and have a shot of mitrous on it. both are stock heads and do the intake and exhaust ports flow the same? i will be putting a cam in soon and need to know before i swap the springs on the heads. thanks for the help

the 5.3 head will give you more compression but they also have smaller valves.

flow is damn near the same even with the smaller valves...i ran a ported set once on mmy ls1 with the smaller valves and it was a tourqe monster...putting them on untouched...idk id atleast have a good valvejob done...
