Head Swap. Now it wont Idle
I swapped my heads with some lower mile 241's and replaced the lifters and lifter trays. Connected everything and fired it up last night. Only problem is it wont hold an idle. No SES lights or codes. The engine sounds normal but it is running rich by the smell of the exhaust. Any suggestions on what to check/double check? thanks, phil
*alright so update*...over lunch i did a little wrenching and found the problem. The o2 wire was pinched a bit. So i fixed that and took it for a little spin. Seemed to do fine. the rpms started going up as i went down a hill and i pushed the clutch out and the were still rising so i shut the car off. waited 5 mins or so started and drove normally mind you im on base so 25 or so. Any reason why the rpms would surge like that?
