power steering pully fit Determined my loud undriverable fan belt noise is because the PS pully is not pressed on far enough to the pump. I replaced this pully with a new GM one about a month ago. Have had the noise ever since.. I move the belt over two ridges to the inside and the noise is gone. Can someone tell me if the ps pump shaft should be flat with the outside of the pulley. I am trying to press it on more but I don't know how much pressure it takes to get it on. Seems awful tight right now, Any measurements would be great. 1998 LS1 Trans AM.

I pulled the pulley and it appears to had been all the way on. Is there anyone who can check a GM part # for me. I am wondering if GM sold me the wrong pulley? Thanks. The number on my new pulley is #12559885
