main bearings

to check the main bearings, can i pull the pan off the check or do i need to pull the block totally out? my reason of checking is i'm at 157,730 and my oil pressure has been low for 2 years now and i have everything for the heads cam swap including the ported oil pump but i'd still like to check the bearings to make sure. thanks

ok, i finally got to thinking if i could do this without pulling the engine out i can save ALOT of time. have you done this or who has done this so i can get some feedback of the experience. thanks

I would be very carefull going that deep into the engine if you have not done it before.

at least get someone to help you that has done it before. One mistake and you will have nothing .
