I'm looking for some advice. I wouldn't exactly say I'm a mechanic more of a parts changer. I'm looking to rebuild my engine. In the process I want to add some kick. I have a 99 TA all stock right now. I'm working on a budget of around $3000.00 total for the whole build. I can do the build with no problem its selecting the right cam and what to do with the heads and intake that throw's me off. I know its like a recipe and if its not all working together its going to be bad. What kinda things would you guys buy to boost the hp for the limited budget? I'm not looking for a fire breathing monster just something that I can be proud of. Any advice would be great.

 

When you say rebuild do you mean new rings bearings and pistons too?
