Need cam for 418 with L92's
Need cam for 418 with L92's I need a cam for a 418. I'm having my heads P&P right now and my direct port L76 port matched and these are going on a 418 that I'll be getting within a month or two. The guy wants to know what the cam specs will be and I am wanting someone to spec one and go ahead and get it so he will have the specs. Who do I need to talk to? I'm not sure what is gonna be the internals on the 418. But the car is about 3800lbs, 02 SS, th350, 3600 stall, 12 bolt with 3.50 gears and 28's. Gonna be a street strip car, not a dd and not an all out race car. Want a very choppy lope cam. Thanks for any help!!!
I would contact Predator Z or Patrick G they are the cam experts of this forum. You'll probably end up with a cam with high 240 low 250 duration on about 112 or 113. I have heard that L92's need a wider lsa but I'm not sure how true that is.
Thanks! I looked at Patrick G's order page but I don't know all the details that the engine is gonna be. Maybe he'll see this and help me out. I need to go ahead and get one coming.
