i have converter lock up as well and have no problems passing cars although my cam isnt as big as a polluter.

Some people care about driveability and like there car to accelerate without spinning it to the moon. Im pretty sure thats what the op wants by his posts.

*The stock cam makes more tq till 3500-3600rpm, not sure where you got 2000 from.

yeah spinning your car a lot higher to get it to feel like it really moves isn't my cup of tea either. I say go with something in the low 230 duration as far as a daily driving setup goes.

youre right, yours is nowhere near a polluter, so i wouldnt imagine youd know what a big cam/stalled auto feels like. very shitty to drive around town.

duration isnt measured like lift. try 230/236

nitro, stay high 220's low 230's and you should be good. id recommend gears no matter what, but esp if you have 2.73's. a good 3.73 gear will def wake your car up along with helping the cam drive better, allowing you to go a little bigger too.

im no mechanic, im stating my opinion, it took 2000 RPM to move my car with the cam and without the cam because of the stall speed, 1/4 throttle spins the tires and thats without reving to the moon. so i still dont see the need for 400 pounds of torque @ 1500RPM with a big converter. i would want all the power from 3000 up.

this is all besides the point, with a 3800 converter i would look for something around my cam size maybe a touch smaller.

I made an extra 105rwhp through my own grind and it is a bit smaller than the Polluter.

If you match everything properly, you will get the best results.
