It's been recommended to me, for a remote filter/oil cooler, to use the oil galley plug on the front corner of the engine as the feed line, and to use the rear oil galley plug, above the filter, rear driver side, for the return line. to plug the oil holes in the pan area, and to plug the oil galley hole under the rear cover. What's your opinion? there would be no need for fittings on the pan. THANKS

Hmm, I like that idea. I think I might do it on my lq4. Where did you find that?

OK, I thought about this, one question the oil galley runs through the block from front plug to rear plug, without the dumbell to divide the galley it would run front to back and bypass any cooler/ filter completely? opinions? I think the galley plug has to remain in place, just plug the oil filter holes and the oil will go out the front and return in the rear.

I just gotta say thats a wild idea, and I like it. If you try it be sure to let everyone know how it works out. If you can get the oil to go where you want it to go when you it go there and NOT go where you DONT want it to go, then it should work I think.
