For dependability, how much stroke is too much

for a 6.125 rod in an ls1? I've got some ideas already, but am interested in what the general population here knows and thinks. I am planning on it being a driver as well as the weekend track warrior. Just concerned about going overboard with it and having more issues than its worth. Thanks.

Rich, you really want to stay in the 1.6 to 1 and higher rod/stroke ratio for a 100K mile engine. This is just a baseline.

Don't go with any stroke over 4.00 on a ls1 motor especially if you go with an ironblock as i have been there and done that and can tell you oil consumption problems and broken reluctor wheels REALLY SUCK!
