Default Question on head gaskets

A question on head gaskets, if i have 51 thousands gaskets and i go with a 30 thousands is that going to give me more compression ???

yes...smaller gasket=smaller combustion chamber= more compression

You had better check the pistons to see how high above the deck they are or you will be slapping the crap out of them. .035 quench is the norm, if you are .004 - .010 above the deck like most all LS based engine are, you may have an issue.
