Talking Getting TR224, What else to get?

I'm hoping to get a TR224 114 cam for my car in the near future, 2-3 weeks, and was wondering what else to get to go along with it. I was planning on getting the TR cam install kit that comes with the cam, rods, 918 springs, and gaskets. Keep in mind I need to spend the least amount of money within reason... No more than $900 total. I plan to install it myself. Should I get the timing chain also? I heard the stock can get pretty loose. Or I was thinking a ported oil pump, but it has to be one or the other... Any insight will be appreciated. Thanks!

in your situation, i'd get a new stock chain and a ported oil pump.

If you replace the chain, dont get the stock one, get the rollmaster double. Cheap and keeps very acceruate valve timing.

i'd get both the chain and pump. dont get cheap, do things right the first time. you'll also need a new crank bolt if the gasket kit from thunder doesnt come with one.

ported ls6 oil pump - 129 (TSP)
rollmaster double chain - 75 (TSP)
