Default low coolant ? please help asap!

I just got my car back from paint and the car had been running well. I was driving it last night and the coolant light came on. So I checked the level. It was low so I topped it off and the resivore aswell. The light went off. I drove it for a little bit and the light came on again. I checked the level again and it had not dropped. The temp gauge isn't much above the mark between the 160* and the 210* mark. What do you guys think? Do I have something I should be worried about. The car is a 98 by the way so from what I understand it has the "functional" temp gauge. I have to make a 45min trip here around 5 pm so any input and the sooner the input the better.

is there a possiblity that there is an air pocket in the radiator that would cause this? I am trying to find a quick fix so I'm not late to work.

the sensor is known to go bad. I wouldn't pay any attention to the low coolant light, just watch your temp gauge
