Cool, should be see how these work then as far as the pushrod hole, pushrod length, and valvecover issues go.

All I know is that my DRE Rockers had D stamped on the bolts. These look so much like the DRE rockers it's not funny but Terry has informed me that they are not from DRE. Shoot, it doesnt take much to change the Mill program for the slot or rear of the rocker.

I wonder why your so worried about these new products? Did you have a bad experience with the vendor? BTW I would spend more time getting that vette going a little faster, than worrying about things that don't concern you. If YOU don't like them don't buy them. Terry put me down for a set!

He is obviously reselling them, but I have to ask, who cares? Looks like a good rocker at a good price!

This rocker assembly is made for us by the same company that makes other name brand rockers. This is not the finished product,it is only a prototype.I will be test fitting the rocker next week to see if it clears the stock valve covers.I will make sure it does.

As far as bearings, shafts and bolts, these type of parts can be bought at any industrial machine supply company.

Also if you lay the two side by side the comps are more rounded at the rear and the patriots are squared off more. I have known about these rockers for a while because a couple of months ago when I was going to patriot every two days to bother Terry about my first set of LS6 style heads I saw him doing the CAD drawings for the rockers on his computer. This is NOT a rebadged comp with a different color, they are different. If my damn head gaskets will ever show up and I can get my car running again, I'll buy a set of these and try them out... I guess if they work, I'll sell my YT's and have blue rockers with gold springs.

btw, here is a pic of the comps, you can clearly see the groove in them.
Hey Gomer, what happened to your car, why are you replacing the head gaskets. Didn't you just get those LS6 style heads put on there?

I installed a set on my car back in late September. My set was the first set of the LS6 style heads sold. All the other ones had the dual quench chamber.. I was going to upgrade mine to the newer style sooner or later.. but a slight nitrous mishap kinda sped that plan up some. My HG's have been ordered for going on 3 weeks now from one of the sponsors on here and I STILL haven't gotten them yet. I'm also upgrading to ARP head studs this time too.

I did have a bad experience with DRE/Comp racing rockers and do need a set of adjustable rockers. If I am going to spend my money and buy a set of rockers, I would at least like to know if they are made by the same company which dicked me around for 2 months. If they are made by the same company I am definitely NOT going to buy these rockers. Maybe I had a bad experience because I was on the ground floor and the product was never tested. Good Luck.

And let me state that Terry is a great guy, he helped me with my last cylinder head build. I am not trying to smear his name or degrade his products. Terry and Patriot performance is a top notch business and would do business with them so lets keep that clear. My beef is with DRE Racing Rockers.

Phillip,
I can tell you they are not made by the same company.I can promis you and everyone else, that I will not dick people around.I am going to do everything I can to make this part work under the stock valve cover. If it does not,I will offer spacers and tell you 100% what it will take for the swap to be simple and painless. This product is close to being offered, but is still in the prototype phase.

Well..if they are not made by DRE then they are made by T&D...DRE makes all of their stuff on bridgeport mills, not even really good CNC equipment..that is why Comp is no longer buying shaft rockers from DRE(too many inconsistantcies)..they are in the process with a new rocker from another company that will fit completely under the stock valvecovers

I still want to know if they will work without elongated pushrod holes.

all shaft mounts b/c of how low they sit will require shorter pushrods..that being said..its a possibility that they will have to be elongated

Why would spacer be needed if they are adjustable? Would a space be used at each fastener location where the shaft bolts are installed?

No spacers are needed.
