Default head porting question? sorry i know another one

i know this subject has been beaten to death on here, i have search and read almost every thread about porting, so i decided not to port my heads but... i just got a set of 241 heads thats im going to throw on when i do my cam swap (i have the 853 now), but my question is will it be worth just gasket matching the intake and smooth out the rocker bolt hump, and the intake side to maybe gain some cfm's. Thats all i want to do, im going to leave the bowl and the area around the valve guide alone and them im going to drop the heads of at a local shop to get cleaned up and do a valve job and assemble them

thanks for the input

you dont want the material too get so thin that it cracks or breaks. also if you are having a valve job done, it wouldnt hurt to blend the seat with the head before the vj. if you knick a seat they can fix that by re-grinding the seats.

I agree with blending the seat. Personally I wouldn't bother with the rocker boss though, not when there isn't any bowl or short side work. It simply isn't worth the trouble at that point. But if you do, just smooth it, don't mow it down. It's in a relative high flow area that's being choked off farther down the port. A good VJ and blend will net you what you're looking for. Gasket matching.. well, port matching preferably (as the 2 are different), I am very big on.
