Does anyone have a sound clip of a big cam through their exhaust, not cutout. I am trying to figure out what a g5x1, tr230, etc would sound like going through preferably a loundmouth cat back like mine. I plan on putting headers and a nice size cam in soon, just want to know what it would sound like. I don't want anything outrageous. I want something that will give me alot of power but keep my dependability of my car for daily driven and because i have an a4 maybe something on a 113 or 114 lsa. Any info is appreciated, thanks.

 

you just contradicted yourself. first you want clips of the g5x1 and tr230 and then you say you want a 113-114lsa. the x1 has a 112lsa and the 230 has a 111lsa. your better off with just the tr224 on the 114. anyway, heres my 230 pre/post cam idle clip.

Well how would the g5x1 on the 112 be on my auto if it was tuned properly? Would I pass emissions?

 

What are the specs on the G5X1? It would definately have a lope to it but there are plenty of guys running 112lsa on autos so you shouldn't have too big of a problem. However i really dont see it passing emissions, do you just have the sniffer in Arizona or do you have to plug up to the diag. port?

 

229/233 -.575/.585 on a 112. if you have to pass the sniffer forget it. OBDII would pass. the cams you are talking about are mid-top end cams. unless you have a new TC to match the new powerband the for get it also. cams should not be one of the first mods. get a few more bolt ons and set up your car right for a cam or go smaller.
