Default Having issues with an SD tuned 398 FI engine..

This is a continuation from a thread I posted in the FI section at corvette forums:

I was driving home from a 535km road trip, I swearved really hard to avoid a lady nearly side swiping me and in the process I was slowing down from a 100 to a 70 zone. Right after this happened I couldnt help but notice the car had a very different exhaust note and didnt have as much power....

So far ive ohm tested the wires and they were all good. I have 8 new plugs in the car now (tr6 .035 gap) and we just finished using a timing light to check the coils out and all are fine...car seems to be getting spark.

We then thought maybe its a vacuum leak, but is this even possible with a SD tuned car?? Does it not get all readings from the MAP sensor?
Maybe the map sensor is off??

We are really confused since its not throwing any codes on the DIC...

The car has a different exhaust note now through all RPM ranges, including idle.

A/F seems to be slightler leaner now driving around under normal conidstions according to the wideband.

Exhaust leak?
Adaptive Spark?

I havnt ran accross any exhaust leaks.

As far as I know the car does not have adaptive spark

The car still has a catted midsection in the exhaust. Any change I have a clogged cat?

After I swearved is when I noticed it since I had to get off the gas and get back on it...thats when I notived the gargling exhaust note.

So you are saying that it might have been there for a while and you just hadn't noticed it before? Or it actually did start after the swerve... It might not have any bearing on the situation, but you never know.
