Default question/problem

i got my 408 in the car and at first i disconnected fuel to prime the oil pump then i busted it off it knocked bad for the 5 seconds i let it run i pull the valve cover off and no oil is n the heads at all i pulled the hardened push rod out and there is oil at the bottom but none is coming thru rods are new hell everything is new how long am i supposed to run it and do i actually have to bust it off for awhile for the oil to make it up idk... im registering 45 psi so i know the crank has oil anyways do i have to let it run for awhile plz help

so there is no oil coming through the push rods? if they are new, try cleaning them with a solvent then blow compressed air through the push rods, there could be debris in them keeping the oil from flowing to the top of the rods.

ok oil started to come out the car ran for about 5 to 10 mins how is it suppose to run if its pretty much a dry start
