just wanting to know if 853''s are similar to any other head like a 243 or 241?? trying to drop compression in my 5.3 for my trubo build and i have some 853's sitting here.

 

They are somewhat similar to 241s, but they are not very good heads stock. If you want to drop compression, look for some 317 (6.0) heads. They've got a 72 cc combustion chamber if I remember correctly, very boost friendly. Probably the most commonly used stock casting on boosted builds.

 

Ive been trying to sell a set of 853, but it doesnt seem manypoeple are interested in them
