Default question about finding compression

Ok I recently installed 241 casting heads that were milled .042 I have a .051 mls head gasket on as well. I am just trying to figure out if what my compression ration would be with these heads.

If you know the formula that would be greatly appreciated, I welcome any and all responses.

Thanks yeah I don't know what I was thinking.. my brain has been deerrr mode after the whole thing i got it done in about 4 days all in my garage with hand tools and **** breaking left and right... mainly a rocker arm bolt and even the crank pulley (harmonic balancer) I broke one of the tabs off that you grab onto with the puller.

After spending about 4 hours going and picking up random parts here and there got head/cam headers y pipe and everything done. Not bad for a first timer and the car starts up and drives with some adjustment of the idle screw.

On a stock LS1 short-block, you'll be at about 11.2-11.3:1 static compression (assuming pistons the average of .007" out of the hole and 60-61cc chambers). Hope that helps!

Matt that does I used the .051 mls head gasket from you guys and from my understanding that decreased my CR by ~.1-.2, thats almost one whole compression point dang.

I want to throw a shout out, tsp comes through these guys rock I got all the parts to support a h/c install and they got everything to me quick, awesome company to deal with... Only thing is now I have to by more muffler lol, I have ebay headers going to a tsp ory (it was an easy install too they work perfect with ebay header) and the tsp rumbler and my car is now a 1/2 mile or more cop magnet.
