Camshaft + Heads Compination! well guys
i would to ask some questions about Compinations
Camshaft and heads,,
some heads Like Patriots provide heads Exhaust Runner: 70cc
i would like to ask about the camshafts ,,
specially the Duration part
when i get camshaft with 238 244 with the head patriot ,, even if the engine comprassion is more then 11
i cant get any RWHP
is there is a relation between them ?
because what happened is ,, my car with 9.5 engine compression
and camshaft 234 240 and the heads was 72 CC
i got 450 RWHP on dyno ( this is my car preparing it for supercharge )
so we have done the same engine
but heads 59 CC
camshaft 238 244
which is we expected more then 500 RWHP because we got bigger camshaft ,, and closer heads
but we didnt get RWHP only 450 ! almost the same ,,
so it doesnt make any sense
same engine same pistons same connector roads , same headers
but the heads and the camshafts was different !
the result was 9.5 engine comp = 11 engine comp RWHP
what is wrong with the setting ?
some told me because of the runner exhust ,, 70 cant handle 238 244 duration ,, is that true ?
does that mean if i get smaller camshaft i will get much more RWHP ???
hope i can have explaination from experts
